CE-RH2 does nothing with sound lines. It uses a separate line for sending key
events.

Attaching CE-RH2 to laptop (except selected laptop models from Sharp) is not
supported - depending on audio jack construction in the laptop, you might get
bad wiring - the ground ring, which is normally handled by a single pin is
splitted and you cannot guess, to which part of CE-RH2 your laptop connects
ground.

This problem might be a consequence of bug 2571 or similar problem.
