but I know both of these outputs only show the version of bluez-utils that I
have.  I have to admit ignorance on this - I don't know how to find the actual
version of bluez that I have in the kernel - I would *assume* from the above
that it is at least 3.20 - the latest version appears to be 3.22 (from the
bluez.org)

if there is a way to get this or do any other debugging, please let me know and
I would be happy to provide the information.  I would really like to transition
to angstrom, but I need bluetooth to work.
