--- Comment #10 from Daniel Rigby <oebugzilla at danielrigby.fastmail.fm> 2007-11-21 01:10:42 ---
I'm attempting to boot from SD card on my SL-C860. I installed
Angstrom-console-image-glibc-ipk-2007.9-test-20071104-c7x0-installkit.tgz,
altboot_1.1.1+wip-SVNR66-r1_c7x0.ipk and
altboot-conf_1.1.1+wip-SVNR66-r1_c7x0.ipk to flash, and upon reboot, altboot
asks me to create a root password as expected. But if I don't type one quickly
enough, the cursor stops flashing and the system hangs. If I do type it fast
enough then I get to the boot menu. If I select normal boot then the system is
stable. But if I boot from SD card (after formatting as ext2 and extracting
the rootfs there first), the system will eventually hang, usually during
resetting the system clock (on my 4 GB card), or slightly earlier, during fsck
(on my 1 GB card).

So it looks like there is an issue with booting from SD card. Could it be
something to do with udev?
