I've done some additional test on dev (poodle, kernel 2.6.24, angstrom 2008.1).

I've downgraded udev to 092 (same version from Angstrom 2007.12) and the input
devices are created.
But the touchscreen is not recognized by xtscal during the calibration screen.
If I do a 'cat /dev/input/touchscreen0', I'm getting a set of characters in the
console when I'm hitting the screen!
