Summary: USB networking does not work on Boxer
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom 2007.12
Platform: ARM
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: Distributions
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: fms at linux.it
I tried to use r13 on my SL-C860, but USB networking does not work, which
effectively prevents my use, since I cannot add packages or update. I checked
that g_ether is correctly loaded and usb0 brought up; I also tried to ring
interface down , reload module and bring usb0 up again, to no avail.
Host machine is a Debian unstable with kernel 2.6.24; USB networking works when
using the previous 2007.12 release. In the kernel logs of the host machine I
get a series of errors like the following:
Apr 22 23:39:25 tao kernel: usb 4-1.4: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd
and address 23
Apr 22 23:39:25 tao kernel: usb 4-1.4: device descriptor read/64, error -32

and address 25

and address 26

I tried to unload ehci_hcd; then the host machine tries to use uhci_hcd, but
the result is the same.
