Thanks for providing the patch.  I committed it with ijs disabled as
b701ffba40ab76cb5b74d4e7415eca78071755bb

closing this bug now.  please open new tickets for stuff that still needs to be
worked on and committed.  I think that makes it easier to track the progress on
this one.
