I can confirm this happens as of 2008-08-21. At some point in a dependency of
glibc, if PARALLEL_MAKE is more than 1, then I will get this same build failure
as seen in comment #15 (error linking gcc_eh) when building
glibc-intermediate-2.6.1.

I've resorted to disabling parallel builds then 'bitbake gcc' and re-enabling
parallel builds when bootstrapping my dev environment.
