I am having the same kind of problem (h3900 image). I also notice the mouse
follows the touchscreen here. It looks the fields lose input-focus.

When the system starts up it gives:

Alignment trap: keylaunch (830) PC=0x4023
[   84.850000] Alignment trap: keylaunch (830) PC=0x40254dc4 Instr=0xe594c004
A3

after stop/stat gpe-dm also

/etc/init.d/gpe-dm stop 

/etc/init.d/gpe-dm start

maybe this gives a clue?

This happens on gpe-image and also x11-image i took from autobuild/h3900
