Although it is qemu-native-0.9.1+svnr4242-r13 instead of -r12 on Ubuntu 8.04.1,
this fails for me in an identical fashion. Using gcc-3.4 native of Ubuntu (via
ASSUME_PROVIDED += "gcc3-native") gives the same error. Manually patching
work/i686-linux/qemu-native-0.9.1+svnr4242-r13/temp/run.do_configure to use
gcc-3.3 instead of gcc-3.4 and running it does make bitbake qemu-native
succeed.

How does the rest of the world compile this? Nobody using Ubuntu? This was done
on a Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 running Linux 2.6.24-21-generic SMP i686 (32bit).
