I am not sure about the deeper reasons for it, but to get opie supported in
Angstrom, it was deemed necessary to move away from opt.  So the patch as such
cannot go in.  I am sure there are some clever variables such as $palmtopdir or
the like one can use instead to achieve happiness for everybody involved.
