 $ cat packages/libmng/libmng-native_1.0.8.bb 
 require libmng_${PV}.bb

 S = "${WORKDIR}/libmng-${PV}"

 inherit native

The above bb file did not lead to immediate success, so I dropped the ball. 
Maybe somebody else care about it?
