couple of questions

* This is a self-compiled image, right?  (I have never tested or seen 
  ext3 OE images, but I doubt that to be the problem here)
* Can you make the image available for download?
* Can you try a selfcompiled GPE image and see if the problem can be 
  reproduced there?
* and most importantly: does calibration work fine for a mouse?
