tango 0.9.2 mtn diff
CC:ed to Stanislav Brabec since he is commiter of tangogps_0.9.0.3 recipe
(according to
http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-commits/2008-July/015819.html
)
There's a new version of tangogps around and I would like to have it in OE.
This new version has some new features, such as waypoints, editing POIs,
support for geotagged photos, etc., etc.
But it also rises requirements - now sqlite3 is needed. So I decided to leave
both versions (0.9.0.3 and 0.9.2), and consolidate common parts in tangogps.inc
Attached is the mtn diff (against .dev) of my work.
I changed following things (comparing to 0.9.0.3 recipe):
* added AUTHOR
* moved gpsd from DEPENDS/RDEPENDS to RRECOMMENDS (tangogps works perfectly as
a moving map without any gpsd running)
* added pkgconfig to `inherit`(not sure if it's needed, and I'm lazy to check.
It was in recipe that author of TangoGPS sent me. I think it shouldn't do any
harm anyway)
* changed DESCRIPTION according to tangogps author's recipe
* bumped PR for tangogps_0.9.0.3
I'm still not sure about dependencies - probably gdk-pixbuf-loader-* (at least
gdk-pixbuf-loader-png) should be added to RDEPENDS.
I tested both recipes for buildability with both .stable and .dev branches. And
I am already using .stable version of 0.9.2 for last couple of days on my
hx4700
P.S
And probably we should drop these
packages/openmoko-projects/tangogps_0.7.bb
packages/openmoko-projects/tangogps/global-config-h.patch
since tangogps has nothing to do with openmoko anyway, and version 0.7 is very
old and has serious bug, making it unusable for gps navigation (it rounds
coordinates to integer values)
