Summary: libusb1 0.9.0: contains flags unsuitable for gcc 3.4
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Openembedded
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: org.openembedded.dev
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: thebohemian at gmx.net
Apparently gcc 3.4 does not understand -Wno-pointer-sign:
LC_ALL=C gcc-3.4 -Wno-pointer-sign test.c -o test
cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-Wno-pointer-sign"
LC_ALL=C gcc-4.3 -Wno-pointer-sign test.c -o test
However the configure.ac of libusb 0.9.0 adds this flag to the AM_CFLAGS:
(line 65)
AM_CFLAGS="-std=gnu99 $inline_cflags -Wall -Wundef -Wunused -Wstrict-prototypes
-Werror-implicit-function-declaration -Wno-pointer-sign -Wshadow"
I propose to patch this flag away.
