If you keep your sources directory around for a long time, it can get filled
with tarballs of old versions of packages that are no longer used.  The
attached patch will update the atime of an archive when it is used.  This
allows you to tell which files are no longer in use, and probably safe to
delete, even if you mount your partitions with "noatime".
