But there's no way to enter Home and End then. Since I'm doing a lot of editing
on Zaurus, I find it a lot more useful to have Home and End than switching
between consoles, besides it's pretty logic as PgUp/PgDn are already mapped to
Fn+Up/Down.

Switching between consoles is still Fn+Ctrl+Left/Right, e.g. it's almost the
same as it was earlier, except that you have to press additionaly Ctrl. Since
it's not a very often done operation (in fact, I think the regular user should
not bother about text consoles in general) I think it's a good tradeoff.

The left one is mapped to Alt, yes, and I have not changed it and I find it
useful too :) But the second is unused as Zaurus had a dedicated Ctrl key at
left of the "Alt" key. Since Zaurus has little keys in general, I find it a
waste to have two Ctrl's :)

Thank you. I also had an idea to write an application to switch keyboard
languages with a hotkey (and perhaps to integrate keylaunch functionality into
it too), but since this patch stayed so long without feedback in bugtracker I
got sidetracked by other things. And I don't even know who I should discuss
such things - the irc channel is mostly dead.
