root is set using linuxargs, and corresponds to the rootfs entry in the fstab:

boot> show linuxargs

But I don't believe any other mount points (such as /home) can be set from
linuxargs.

Anyway, does /home really deserve a partition of its own? Most users will use
their simpad as a thin client or web browser, and will put big files on
removable media (I always keep my PDFs on a CF card, never in /home).

That way, we would gain almost 8 megs for application space.
