Same problem here!

In my opinion this should be fixed by changing 

KERNEL_INITRAMFS_DIR = "${TMPDIR}/deploy/uclibc/images/${MACHINE}/"

to 

KERNEL_INITRAMFS_DIR = "${TMPDIR}/deploy/${ANGSTROM_MODE}/images/${MACHINE}/"

It breaks compiling a kernel with glibc.
