Confirmed for c7x0. 
Initramfs-image fails building from scratch.

First investigation:

andrea at mizar /oe/org.openembedded.dev/conf $ grep -r 'zaurus-updater' .
./machine/include/zaurus-2.6.inc:EXTRA_IMAGEDEPENDS += "zaurus-updater"

EXTRA_IMAGEDEPENDS seems not applied
