thanks to svolpe and ac3b0371db0864fa58d78538a2999cb2d41479ff it was only a
small step to finally fix this one now.  

The autotools patch is apparently not necessary anymore for compilation of
php5.  I dropped it in e667f22b2fcceae83ed7110622269ddd2194a9b8 and php5
compiles fine now.
