patch for 1.8.8, similar to that for 1.8.7

on a pentium4 Ubuntu box, using glibc 2.6.1 and gcc4.2.2, parted 1.8.7 does
build for ARM, but not for PPC ...

The only reference I can find to "swi" is in the syscalls.h file ... it looks
like it is talking about ARM-specific stuff... maybe something is not set
somewhere else correctly in the env and it's trying to use this on PPC builds?

parted is a crucial piece of software, and it would be very good to have it...
please fix either 1.8.7 so it builds on all platform, or upgrade us to 1.8.8.

BTW, parted 1.8.8 requires readline-5.2 or higher.

attached is a corresponding patch for 1.8.8, similar to the like-named patch
for 1.8.7.
