I have also encountered this bug.  Same output as log files:

checking for CURL... configure: error: Package requirements (libcurl) were not
met:

Package liblibgcrypt was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `liblibgcrypt.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'liblibgcrypt', required by 'GnuTLS', not found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables CURL_CFLAGS
and CURL_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
