I tested your patch from comment #7. It did not compile for me.

After replacing of "m[" with "matrix[" it started to work with tslib, but it
breaks other input modes (e. g. -mouse mouse") in the same way tslib was broken
before. So it is not acceptable for OE as it is, as it fixes some devices and
breaks the rest.
