Consider this line fro module-base.bbclass:

KERNEL_OBJECT_SUFFIX = "${@[".o",
".ko"][base_read_file('${STAGING_KERNEL_DIR}/kernel-abiversion') < "2.6.0"]}"

This line results in inverted semantics from what we would want from it.
Swap ".o" against ".ko"?
