Summary: Invalid libstdc++.la and libsupc++.la files
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom 2008.x
Platform: PC
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: org.openembedded.dev
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: malcolm.crossley2 at gefanuc.com
I have an angstrom 2008.x image with the libstdc++-dev package added, built for
x86.
The libstdc++.la file contains an incorrect path to /lib/libstdc++.la, which
should be /usr/lib/libstdc++.la:
Extract of libstdc++.la file:
# Libraries that this one depends upon.
dependency_libs=' -L/usr/lib -lm -lm -lm -L/lib/gcc/i686-angstrom-linux/4.2.4
-L/lib/gcc/i686-angstrom-linux/4.2.4/../../../../i686-angstrom-linux/lib -L/lib
-L/lib -lgcc_s -lc -lm -lgcc_s -lc -lm -lm -lgcc_s -lc -lgcc_s -lm
/lib/libstdc++.la -lgcc_s -lc -lm -lm -lgcc_s -lc -lgcc_s'
Similarly the libsupc++.la contains an incorrect path to /lib/libstdc++.la,
which should be /usr/lib/libstdc++.la:
Extract of libsupc++.la file:
# Libraries that this one depends upon.
dependency_libs=' -L/usr/lib -lm -L/lib/gcc/i686-angstrom-linux/4.2.4
-L/lib/gcc/i686-angstrom-linux/4.2.4/../../../../i686-angstrom-linux/lib -L/lib
/lib/libstdc++.la -L/lib -lgcc_s -lc -lm -lm -lgcc_s -lc -lgcc_s'
These incorrect paths cause problems with libtool when trying to compile
natively (on the target).
