Hi Mickey!
I realise your concern but for me (/my dad) xmms will
be one of my main apps when I will be running OZ and
that is also a GTK 1.2 app also so at least ONE other
popular program requires this.
All this is small fry anyway compared to having to
load up the 200lb gorilla that is Firefox in < 64Mb
RAM! ;)
Are there any good, leightweight GTK2 (or fltk) music
playing apps or web browsers I don't know of? i still
use xmms on my main machine as my main music player.
gpe-minibrowser can't handle Y! mail, neither can
osb-browser. Minimo takes almost as long to load and
hogs almost as much memory as FF. Konq is the only
other option, but loading QT too would devour all the
RAM alone I'd imagine.
