Hello All,

Just thought that I would chime in here. My name is Adam, I am on #oe as
asmola. With Koen and Crofton's help I was able to build and deploy an
angstrom-minimal image on a Gumstix-Verdex (this was as of ~6:00 PM EST Aug
21). Here is my configuration/procedure/etc.

Development Enviornment:
Fedora Core 6 / x86

Target:
Gumstix Verdex (XL6P)

Procedure:

I had to edit local.conf and add an ENABLE_BINARY_LOCALE_GENERATION = "0"
line.
Tried to build using bitbake angstrom-minimal-image.
Something didn't quite build so I ran a bitbake
u-boot-mkiamge-openmoko-native (as per Crofton)
At this point the build completed. I noted that there was a small kernel
image and a larger one created. I loaded the rootfs and I tried loading the
smaller one but the entry point and load point were not correct and after
decompressing the kernel it would not boot.
Koen & Crofton fixed this by modifying linux.inc and then I rebuilt via a
'bitbake -c rebuild linux' command.
At this point, I was able to flash the new kernel and the Verdex booted.

Later today I am going to pull updates and do a clean build to see what I
get. I am also going to document in bugzilla what works inside the distro on
my gumstix (including checking compactflash and ethernet).

Thanks to everyone who helped me out.

-Adam
