[oe-users] cross-compiler building for (MIPS, ARM, PPC / non Linux) Targets

Hi all.
I would like to build my own cross-compiler in order to compile C
language applications for targets (without any underlying OS) such as
MIPS, ARM and PowerPC, from a x86/Linux platform.

Numerous sites over the web deal with this subject, most of the time
advising us to use solutions based on gcc (GNU).

I wonder if your project could help me achieve what I want to, I mean
cross compiling applications for the above targets with no OS? Are
these 3 targets supported ?

I would like to have more details about how your application works,
for instance:

I am not sure whether your application is based on gcc since a "GNU
patch" is required or maybe you developped your own compiler?

Can we use any C language library such as glibc, newlib, uClib etc? by
the way, what is the most suitable one for an embedded system?

Any piece of information, advice or link to follow  would be greatly
appreciated.
