[oe-users] Prerequisite on host

Hello,

For building an ipk package, a specific software must be already 
installed on the host.

At the moment, I check this in the recipe with a few shell commands.

Is there a better way to do this?
If I understand it correctly, the DEPENDS variable can't be used since 
it concerns dependencies on the target.
