[oe-users] 3 platform packages of the maemo platform to make free software

Hi,
Quim Gil asks[0] for 3 platform packages that developers would be
interested in and would like to see as free software. I opened the
mentioned bug report but would like to hear from the community what
Nokia should focus on.

My own ideas are something along the lines like:
- power management
- DSP specs (people want to code Ogg Vorbis support for ages[1])
- toleration of software that has been written by 3rd parties through
reverse engineering (e.g. 0xFFFF[2] or free Prism WiFi drivers)

OE is the only (free) environment that is capable of building a full
distribution for the N770/N800 devices. Thats why I am asking here.

Regards
Robert
