Is there a version mismatch in the metafiles for patch_2.5.9.bb?

the source is patch-2.5.4

the diff&patch files are for 2.5.9 & 2.5.4, but this seems really odd...

configure fails at the outset:
------------------------------------------------------

sort: string comparison failed: No such file or directory
sort: Set LC_ALL='C' to work around the problem.
sort: The strings compared were
`/stuff/build/tmp/work/ppc603e-angstrom-linux/patch-2.5.9-r2/patch-2.5.4/m4/' and `/stuff/build/tmp/work/ppc603e-angstrom-linux/patch-2.5.9-r2/patch-2.5.4/m4/'.
