[oe-users] State of PowerPC

Hello,
I have not had any success trying to build OE for an AMCC PPC405 Taihu
board, (PPC405EP with no FPU). The builds stop with errors. I am
looking for a known working combination I can build with no errors that
is close to what I want before having to resort to hacking.
I have tried numerous different PowerPC machines and different distros
and haven't been able to get them to build yet. Even the AMCC sequoia
target didn't build.
A colleague of mine has built for Taihu, but he hacked up an OE snapshot
that goes back to April. I want to get something working that is more
current and keep it maintainable in relation to OE as an upstream.
Is PowerPC architecture support active? ... or is it something that
once worked but no one maintains it anymore? Does Angstrom-2007.1
distro support it, or should I be using a different distro?
There must be a configuration combo that works for PowerPC since OE is
on the agenda for the PowerPC conference in Austin this month.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Darcy
