I am not an expert, but I am not sure if You ave correct configuration
in Your local.conf.
Could You post the uncommented lines from this configuration file ?
Where did You get "soekris4801 " machine - I can not see it in
org.openembedded.dev/conf/machine/ .
I am also not quite sure about the "generic" distro - do You really
want to build it :
" This distribution configuration serves as a starting point for the
integration of new target platforms, machines, or distributions." ?
