How to setup Overo build environment on Mac OS X 10.5.5

Hi,
        I found out that I had to change the file overo-oe/build/conf/ 
local.conf to

BUILD_OS ="macosx"

to get the system to generate things to /overo-oe/tmp/i386-macosx

I have one question, which is where is the prefixing done to create  
the directory i386-macosx and to also generate the command to check  
for i386-macosx-gcc compiler?
