Problem running oe_sha256sum

Hello,

I'm trying to build sqlite3, using OE, and have run into the following problem:

First I thought it was something wrong with the .bb file for quilt,
but then I noticed that it was failing to execute a file that it
itself built:

sh: /home/misha/zaurus/oe/build/tmp/staging/i686-linux/usr/bin/oe_sha256sum:
cannot execute binary file

I'm not sure why it's not able to run that file, as it seems to be a
normal binary.  I'm able to examine it using nm.

Any ideas?
