PC PCB

To build my experimental computer with embedded OS (eCos), can someone please advice me which board/PCB design to pick? Or who is the most reliable PCB manufacturer out there? or most cost affective?

OR
What would be this community's advice regarding which CPU and board to pick up for experiment ?   I have already selected OS- eCos.
