Checkout OE with git via HTTP?

Hello,

The GettingStarted page states that to obtain OE one has to

   git clone git://git.openembedded.net/openembedded

Unfortunately, the git port is blocked by our firewall. Is the
repository
Available via HTTP somewhere?  I tried

   git clone http://git.openembedded.net/openembedded

But this gives me some "not found" error.
