Checkout OE with git via HTTP?

The Getting Started page (this one: http://wiki.openembedded.net/
index.php/Getting_Started) lists

git clone http://repo.or.cz/r/openembedded.git

as a possibility to get at the repo via http.  Access via web browser 
works.
