OE development under virtual machine

Palm uses a variety of Ubuntu-7.x and 8.x, mac, and windows hosting 
vmware running ubuntu-7.x and 8.x.

Now if you meant /targeting/ virtual machines, that's a different matter 
since vmware is x86 and amd64 only, (no arm).  And yes, I've done that 
also both using scratchbox and also using qemu on several processors.
