Thanks for getting back to me Thomas,
I follow you, but I have a few doubts because of my limited knowledge.
I've used OE before for both gumstix and OpenMoko and it's works ;-)
So now I get a board to play with in a different alien build environment
and which uses a 2.4.31 kernel. I want to connect hardware to the USB
port of the board for which I know there are drivers in the latest 2.6
kernel as the USB HSDPA works on my Ubuntu 8.10 machine.
So I'm thinking forget the existing build env and move to OE and a
2.6.?? kernel. The alternative is porting the drivers back to 2.4 kernel
which might well be the easier approach. I'll have a look at some of the
machine files and I'll have a look at the kernel patches. I think driver
Arch changed from 2.4 kernel to 2.6, again I'm not an expert.
Thanks again
