[Openembedded-users] newbie question on building application

Thanks for your advice.
So, is it better to build the web server as part of the Angstrom myself or
bitbake the web server seperately?
Also, I notice that Angstrom has more stuff than I need into the
beagleboard, such as gcc, is it better to remove those receipes that I don't
need?
Does anyone know where I can get a bear minimal Angstrom that can just boot
the beagleboard, and then I can build my webserver seperately?
