[Openembedded-users] Linux Kernel Configuration

How can one change the linux kernel setting within bitbake so that they can
compile packages to a version they want.  I have linux kernel 2.6.32 on my
embedded device, but my bitbake only compiles ipk packages at the linux
kernel 2.6.37 which causes an issues of incompatibility.  Any help is
appreciated.  Thanks.
