[Openembedded-users] rebuilding uImage

I am trying to understand the procedure to change a file in the linux kernel
and then rebuild uImage with OE. With that in mind, I "touch" the .config in
tmp/work/...linux-2.6.34 and bitbake virtual/kernel or bitbake minimal-image
and I do not get a new uImage.

What am I missing?
