[Openembedded-users] Using pkg_postinst for adding users/groups

Hi all,

In dbus recipe pkg_postinst_${PN}() function contains the instructions to
add user and groups to corresponding files in the rootfs. However in
cross-compilation environment it can not run after package installation. My
query is when/where does the script in this function gets executed.

I see many more packages also contain this function. But I wonder how it
works. A quick pointer is really appreciated.
