[Openembedded-users] Angstrom mirrors and git downloads

I am having trouble getting OE based on Angrstom 2010.08 to clone my local
git repository without using the angstrom mirrors as established in the file
classes/angstrom-mirrors.bbclass. While I would still like to use the
angstrom mirrors for the other git sources, for mine, I just need it to
actually do a git clone of the repository. I can't seem to figure out how
exactly to do this for my specific recipe. Simply overloading the MIRROR and
PREMIRROR variables in the recipe doesn't seem to work. Do I need to write
my own do_fetch() routine instead? Basically, I would rather not edit any OE
classes directly, as that breaks the nice clean line I have in getting my
environment to build.
