I have a working OE installation that will bitbake linux and it creates a vmlinux and a fitImage for a PPC8323. I am puzzling over how to create (or modify) a recipe to make a uImage and a zImage. <br><br>I tried copying recipes/linux/<a href="http://linux-xxx.bb">linux-xxx.bb</a> <a href="http://test.bb">test.bb</a> and invoking that new recipe but got caught up in the fact that bitbake was then trying to get linux-1.0.0 from the repository (obviously a variable/string is empty). I also tried cd to the linux kernel source tree and using &quot;make CROSS_COMPILE=powerpc-angstrom-linux- zImage&quot; and got caught in host vs target issues.<br>
<br>So, ... can someone please help me understand how one &quot;properly&quot; goes about making a recipe to be able to create a uImage and a zImage *without* fubarring my original recipe that creates a fitImage.<br clear="all">
