There are a number of open features related to the way that reproducible are tested that could improve them to expand our coverage of reproducibility. Some or all of these might be good options to procure funding:
# Testing final binary root file systems for reproducibility (https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13515)
# Test kernel and kernel modules for reproducibility (in DEPLOY_DIR) for reproducibility (https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12719)
# Support for generic reproducibility testing of DEPLOY_DIR files
# Test native recipes for reproducibility
# Test that nativesdk packages and SDKs are reproducible

=OE Technical Steering Committee=

The TSC consists of 5 people who are elected by, and ultimately be answerable to, the members of the OpenEmbedded organisation.

Here is the [[TSCCharter | working copy]] of the new TSC charter.

Meetings are usually held in #oe-tsc on Libera Chat on 3rd Monday of each month 9PM UTC (10PM UTC during winter time).

The TSC discusses technical issues for the direction of OpenEmbedded. Note that the TSC is NOT chartered with actually doing all of the work discussed, but they do make every effort to locate resources to do that work.

Note: The Yocto Project also has a TSC. Its responsibilities include repositories hosted on [[https://git.yoctoproject.org/|the Yocto Project git server]], the associated mailing lists, bugzilla, the testing processes and infrastructure/QA and the releases of the project. For more information on that, go to [[https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/TSC|the Yocto Project wiki]]

= Members =

In order by name:

* Bruce Ashfield (zeddii) re-elected Sep 2021
* Jon Mason (jonmason) - elected Sep 2021
* Joshua Watt (JPEW) re-elected Sep 2021
* Paul Eggleton (bluelightning) - re-elected Sep 2021
* Richard Purdie (RP) - re-elected Sep 2021

Each member serves a two-year term.

= Responsibilities =

On a day-to-day basis the TSC is responsible for making
tactical policy decisions, resolving disputes between contributors,
administering access control to the git tree, and generally promoting
good development practice.

= Decision Making =

Decisions are made where necessary by majority vote. Once a decision is made by
the technical steering committee, the decision should be respected as a democratic decision.

= Contacting the TSC =

If you have an issue or would like something discussed at the next TSC meeting, please email tsc@lists.openembedded.org

The item will be added to the TSC topics discussed in the next meeting (or an adhoc meeting will be held is determined to be an urgent issue).

Alternatively, you can contact one of the TSC members listed above and ask them to add it to the list of items to be discussed.

= TSC topics =

This list keeps a running list of topics for the TSC.

* Layer Setup
* Dublin Meetup
* Talk about how to acknowledge contributions from community members
* Further discussion on how to increase participation in the project
* OE/YP Training and certification
* Layer Quality

= Membership =

== Why become an OpenEmbedded Member? ==
* Can vote in YP TSC, OE TSC, and OE board elections
* Can vote to approve/deny new OE members
* Can run for positions on YP TSC, OE TSC, and OE Board
* Access to members only mailing list
* Monthly OE Happy hours (generally open to non-members)
* Ability to attend and present at OE dev day (attendance generally open to non-members)

== Steps to become an OpenEmbedded Member==
# E-mail board@openembedded.org with your desire to become a member. <br \>New members are voted on by the existing membership. This is mostly a formality, but members do want relevant information about yourself (to make sure you are a real person, have relevant interest in OE, and would be a good member). To that end, providing the following should help your application:
#* Please describe yourself and your relevant OpenEmbedded experience. <br \>(Links to commits in OE git would be nice) <br \>(LinkedIn link might be helpful as well)
#* Please list OE members who can vouch for you (none are required, but having some is always beneficial).
#* Anything else members might wish to know?
# The board will hold an online vote using Helios with existing members to approve/deny your membership (takes ~1 month)
# The board will notify you of the outcome
# You will be invited to join the OE members mailing list and added to the membership list on the OE wiki

To that end, email [[mailto:board@openembedded.org board@openembedded.org]] with a request to join and why members should want to vote you in. Feel free to use this template:
== Volunteers ==

Are you going to FOSDEM and can spend some time at the OpenEmbedded stand to explain interested individuals the virtues of OpenEmbedded? Add your name and on which day you'll be available.

* Scott Murray - should be available for a big chunk of both Saturday and Sunday
* Chris Simmonds - would be happy to take a slot of booth duty either Saturday or Sunday
* Philip Balister - I'll stop by Saturday and see what you need. I can make a beer, drink and food run.

== Devices & Project Demos ==

Can you bring some interesting hardware running Linux built with OE? We're especially interested if it shows off the features of OE such as building the same software for multiple boards, ease of OS customisation, etc.

* Scott Murray - AGL running on up^2 board plus 11" touchscreen

== Anything else? ==

If you can bring anything else useful - OE stickers/flyers, power adaptors & cables, etc - let us know here...

= Attendance =

If you're attending FOSDEM and want to meet up with other OE & Yocto folk then put your name down here so we can look out for you.
* Format of future meetings. We will barely fit in this room, and the size of the group is getting awkward. How do we get people together to communicate, without the situation becoming difficult to handle?
