At the moment it's only mentioned in http://git.angstrom-distribution.org/cgi-bin/cgit.cgi/meta-angstrom/tree/README since the stock angstrom images don't build due to missing recipes (e.g. GNOME), so it's a bit hackers only. You do have a point that it should be clearly documented before it can be considered ready :)
