I forgot, PACKAGECONFIG might be better to use....  then the attr package 
dependencies can more easily be added.

PACKAGECONFIG ?= "${@base_contains('DISTRO_FEATURES', 'xattr', 'xattr', '', d)}"
PACKAGECONFIG[xattr] = "--enable-xattr,--disable-xattr,attr,"
