[oe] Git server did not support http protocol.

Many git servers support http access.

when i git-clone oe's git repository with command:
git clone http://git.openembedded.net/org.openembedded.dev open

it reports that:
Cannot get remote repository information.
Perhaps git-update-server-info needs to be run there?

would it applicapable to support http access of git server?
i have to access the repository through proxy.
